Parenting is hard.

But parenting a struggling child or neurodiverse child can be extremely isolating. The strategies that work for your friends’ kids backfire spectacularly with yours. You’ve tried sticker charts, natural consequences, positive reinforcement, firm boundaries and still, bedtime takes three hours and getting dressed involves negotiations worthy of international peace treaties.

You’re exhausted from being the parent of a child who needs more: more patience, more creativity and more energy than you have after years of intensive parenting.

Family playing ball together

Parenting a child who’s wired differently requires you to throw out the conventional playbook and write your own. But that can feel terrifying. Our parenting support isn’t about teaching you generic strategies or making you feel worse about what’s not working. It’s about understanding your specific child’s nervous system, your particular family dynamics, and finding approaches that honor both your child’s needs and your own capacity.

We help your family move toward deeper connection, calmer rhythms, and a sense that you’re not carrying this all alone.

Through creative exploration, you might map out your family’s patterns visually, seeing for the first time how anxiety ricochets between family members or how one child’s needs have reorganized the entire household.

We use art to help you process the grief that comes with parenting a struggling child, like the loss of the easy childhood you imagined for them, the activities they can’t participate in, the typical milestones that pass unmarked. Movement and somatic work help you discharge the physical tension of being constantly “on,” teaching your body how to find moments of rest.

Together, we decode your child’s behavior as communication, helping you respond to what they’re really saying. You’ll learn co-regulation techniques that work with your child’s specific nervous system, scripts for the impossible conversations, and how to set boundaries that become bridges to better connection.

The goal is to find sustainable ways to parent the child you have. To trust your instincts while staying open to new approaches. To find moments of joy and connection even in the midst of struggle. Because when you feel supported, understood, and resourced, over time, you’ll begin to feel steadier and less reactive. You’ll have tools for navigating the hard moments and more capacity to enjoy the good ones.
